Aden Duale Courts Controversy Again After Offering To Dialogue With Al Shaabab

The controversial majority leader in the August House seems not to have learnt to steer clear of controversy after he offered to dialogue with the Somalia terrorist group, Al Shaabab.

Duale is quoted as telling Al Shaabab that the Jubilee government is ready to dialogue with them if that is what they want to allow Kenya have peace.

Duale who was speaking in Somali language is quoted as telling Al Shaabab: “If you want us to send you elders, and religious leaders will do so. If you want is to send you political leaders, we will do so. Just tell us where we should come to meet you but give Kenya a wide berth.”

Kenyans got outraged by the utterances and launched attacks on the controversial member of parliament demanding answers from him.

Duale, however, defended is remarks and changed tune, denying that he offered to negotiate with the Al Shaabab.

The MP says he was misquoted and that all he said was that Al Shaabab should keep off Kenyan territories and deal with their own affairs in Somalia.

Duale’s words come barely a week after Mandera Governor Ali Roba’s convoy was attacked by Al Shaabab insurgents leading to the death of four people in the convoy.

When will Duale learn to measure his utterance before spitting them out?

Duale almost came to blows with Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto when he clearly disrespected him by telling him, ‘Hii pesa si ya mama yako bwana’ following Ruto’s push for increased allocation to county governments.
