Find Out Why Eric Omondi And His Brother Fred Are Being Extoled After The Garissa Attack

The country woke up to very disturbing news Thursday last week that Garissa University had been attacked by unknown assailants.

It later turned out that Al Shabaab had invaded the institution and killed hundreds of innocent Kenyans. Thursday and the subsequent days have been the darkest after the 1998 bombing of the US embassy in Nairobi.

And it was on this day that Eric Omondi and his brother Fred Omondi, the two top comedians in the country, had slated an interview with Jeff Koinange on his JKL show on KTN.

As things turned out that day, the two Omondi brothers couldn’t withstand the tears that flowed on cheeks of the nation. They could entertain on that day and so they stepped aside from the side to allow Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan to shed light on the state of the nation.

This was an act that attracted reactions from Kenyans who lauded the Omondi brothers for putting their interests aside for the nation.

Kenyans praised the two amid agony for joining others in mourning the victims of the heinous acts by Al Shabaab, terming it a bold and patriotic move.

Jeff Koinange himself thanked Eric and his brother for agreeing to step aside because of the weighty matter on that day.

Here is the show as it went down:
