Citizen TV Given A Hard Tackle As Its Former Top Journalist Makes A Grand Comeback At KTN

The speculation that has engulfed us for quite some time now has finally turned into a reality after a promo ran on KTN announcing the arrival of one of Kenya’s finest and most experienced journalists.

It all started with the Presenter show where he was spotted in the panel of judges and this is where our speculation was born.

Months after tendering his resignation letter at Citizen TV where he established himself as the most coveted reporter, Alex Chamwada is finally returning to air with KTN years after he left the station for further studies abroad before returning to join Citizen.

In a promo ran by KTN last evening, Chamwada is expected to make a grand comeback to a station he worked for between 2004 and 2006.

Chamwada will appear on TV with a program KTN termed as The Diplomatic Narrative.

Ghafla Kenya had reported early on that there was a possibility that Chamwada would return to air with KTN after he was spotted among the panelists judging the Presenter Show.

Chamwada has also indicated through his social media accounts that he will be back with The Chamwada Report, a current affairs program that he runs himself. Is KTN the ultimate place where his show will be aired? We definitely believe so.

The veteran journalist has been traversing parts of the continent shooting and gathering content believed to be part of his yet to come show.

Chamwada is one of the most experienced journalists Kenya has ever seen and this explains why despite the fact that it is hard to appear on TV as a freelance journalist in Kenya, Chamwada is likely to find it easy to appear with his own show.

The return of Chamwada will definitely inject experience and institutional memory in KTN and Kenyan media at large.

However, Citizen TV is set to feel the pinch of losing one of its finest reporters to a direct competitor and the effects will definitely be manifested when the Chamwada legion dumps the RMS-owned TV station in favour of KTN.
