Nation FM Queen Attacks Sonko After He Moved To Court To Sue Kidero For Blocking Roundabouts

Roundabouts on major roads in Nairobi have been closed down over the past one week in a bid to easy traffic jams and congestion in the city. However, as it turned out, this move, according to many road users, has backfired as traffic along the major roads has doubled since the blocking of the roundabouts.

This prompted Mike Sonko, who has since stepped aside as Nairobi Senator to pave way for investigation into corruption allegations leveled against him, to file a case in court suing his counterpart Governor Evans Kidero for causing traffic jams by erecting what he calls busaa drums on roundabouts.

“Today I filed a case at the high court seeking the removal of all the illegal barriers/busaa drums at the roundabouts in the city which have been inconveniencing city motorists leading to heavy traffic jams in major city roads and highways.”

Kidero has since ordered the roundabouts to be opened temporarily as the Southern by-pass is rehabilitated.

And now Sonko’s move to sue Kidero has angered Nation FM veteran presenter Angela Angwenyi who has blasted Sonko for not finding a reason to work with Kidero for the betterment of the city life.

In her morning show on Nation FM, Angela wondered why Sonko always finds everything about Kidero negative and cannot work with him as elected leaders.

She lamented that the differences between the two are bringing down development in the capital as they cannot work together.

Sonko himself has been heavily criticized for his Sonko Rescue Team which many believe is a scheme to defraud Nairobians by masquerading as a helper.

The latest to blast Sonko over his rescue team is his former friend turned foe Nairobi Women Rep Rachel Shebesh.
