Rich Woman Who Gifted Husband 10M Car For Birthday Could Hit The Cells If This Goes Through. She Is Regretting Expressing Love Publicly

Laura Akunga, the woman who threw the social media into a frenzy after gifting her birthday husband with a 10M car is a woman under siege. This lavish lady is paying a big price for publicly expressing love.

According to a story the Nairobian has published, Laura Akunga has been sued for fraudulently obtaining over 17 million shillings from a businessman, Mr. Sriram Bharatam of Iridium Interactive who is of Asian origin.

Mr. Sriram has filed a case in the Milimani Commercial Court accusing Laura of failing to pay 17.6M shillings he gave to her after she came to him begging him to safe her dwindling businesses.

Laura who runs Benchmark Solutions claims that her business is worth between 50-60 billion shillings.

The two are good friends and this is the reason Sriram helped Laura when she came for the money.

“On or about the month of January 2013, Akunga experienced financial difficulties. Family Bank had sought to recover a loan of Sh40million which she had guaranteed somebody, who had defaulted. Since she is known to me, I decided to lend her $50,000 (Sh4.9 million) in cash because there wasn’t enough time to do a bank transfer. According to her, she had been given 48 hours within which to clear the Sh40 million loan she had guaranteed someone. On or about the month of April 2013, Laura reached out to me seeking more funding. She gave me a detailed plan of the new business which she intended to start. Her ideas seemed legitimate. This made me lend her more money on the understanding that the amount would be refunded within a short period,” Nairobian quotes Sriram as he says in an affidavit filed in court.

Sriram adds that he lent Laura more money which totally amounts to 17.6 million shillings. On learning that she was lying about her businesses, the businessman told Laura to pay the money but has since refused to do so. He does not pick his calls or respond to mails and text messages.
