6 Die In Kiambu From Lack Of Alcohol

The campaign against illicit brew that has swept across the country and specifically in central Kenya has come with its disadvantages too.

This comes after six people died in Kiambu for lack of alcohol. Withdrawal effects overcame them, leading to their deaths.

The six are believed to have suffered from the effects of lack of alcohol after all illicit brew in the region was destroyed following President Uhuru’s directive that all 2nd generation drinks be destroyed.

His directive came after illicit brew killed a number of Kenyans, putting central region and other parts of the country on the spot.

Kiambu Governor William Kabogo asked residents to help those threatened with withdrawal effects get medication to save their lives.

Quite a number are already admitted in different hospitals in Kiambu for medication following lack of alcohol.
