Popular NTV Anchor Reveals How He Was Mistreated On His Visit To South Africa And Advises Kenyans To Avoid The Country Like A Plague

South Africa has been in the headlines this year following the xenophobic attacks which saw its citizens rise against foreigners in their land, killing, maiming and chasing away some in what they said is securing jobs held by foreigners for the locals.

The Xenophobia experienced in one of Africa’s most developed countries received global condemnation as South Africans were put on the spot for all the wrong reasons.

Luckily, no Kenyan was reported hurt or caught in the xenophobic wave that swept across most parts of South Africa.

But even after xenophobia cooled down, South Africans are a pathetic lot. These are not my words but those of NTV’s Larry Madowo.

Larry is a frequent visitor of the South and he even worked in South Africa before returning to Kenya to work with NTV.

Recently the media personality travelled to South Africa and as he made arrangements to fly, he realized that South Africans are not friendly a people as they seem to be.

Larry explains how it is very complicated for a Kenyan to gain access to South Africa as compared to other citizens from other countries. He says that South African High Commission in Kenya is opposed to allowing Kenyans into their territory because they fear they are going to compete the locals for jobs. They do this by charging a lot of money to whoever wants to travel south. This ishow he was treated recently.

He goes on to wonder why Kenya allows South Africans to freely come into the country instead of revenging on what Zuma’s government is doing to Kenyans.

Larry advises Kenyans to avoid South Africa as much as they can. There are other countries ready to take them in.

Larry was speaking through an article in his Daily Nation Column
