It’s exactly 8 months now since the Nation woke up to the shocking demise of the illustrious Fidel Odinga, Raila Odinga’s first born son and the man who was widely touted as the perfect Odinga legacy heir.
The younger Odinga,whose sudden death shook the nation and plunged us to endless days of national mourning and some far-fetched social media controversies and theories, was 42 by the time of his death. And was married to his gorgeous Eritrean wife Lwam Bekele..
Together, Lwam and Fidel had been blessed with one beautiful boy who was ultimately made a partial orphan after his popular dad’s death.
The boy is one Allay,a child that controversial blogger Robert Alai sensationally claimed was named after him. Oh, the cheek!
Well, all that is old news now. The nation mourned and opened a new chapter. And today, the little Fidel Odinga had his own special moment under the sun; He celebrated his 2nd birthday in style. With Grandpa Raila Odinga and Grandma Ida Odinga right next to him.
Also making a very affectionate -and very obvious-presence at the birthday bash was his mom Lwam Gatachew Bekele and judging from these photos, this one seems like it was one hell of a super dazzling bash! For a little prince! Wait till you see the cake…Gor Mahia to the core!
Great to see ‘Baba’ take a break from his endless political activities to just chill, lay back and smile at his grandson’s birthday party.
