Ndio Maana Uliwachwa: The Perfect Break-Up Song
If half of popular music is about sex, then surely the other half should be about heartbreak, and we all need a good cry once in a while. A good break up song can guide you through the stages of relationship mourning just as well as any overpriced therapist, and there’s no shame in just putting this song on repeat for a day or two while you cut up all those old JPEGs.
This song is intended to accommodate both dumper and dumpee, both the lonely days and the lonelier nights. It’ll channel your anger as well as your pain, and, hopefully, you’ll come out feeling better (or at least a few new karaoke choices richer) on the other side.
Keggah is a producer and an artist who resides in Massachusetts. Keggah created Jobless Music two years ago and has worked with Jimwat, Bamboo, Nonini, Proff and many other artists in the 254 as a producer. Kiigz is a personal friend to Keggah and they have been working in different studios since they were both six years old in Nairobi before linking up in the U.S.
The song is melodious around the chorus but gets into some Kenyan old school flow, like the rap scheme employed around the early 2000s. It’s a nice Hip Hop/RnB collaboration that is definitely worth airplay. Check out Keggah and Kiggz on Ndio Maana Nilkuwacha below.
