Did American Singer/songwriter The-Dream ‘Copy’ Jemedari’s Mixtape Cover For His Fifth Album?

I’m sure you guys didn’t know that this is The-Dream’s real name, Terius Youngdell Nash. He was born in January 25, 1977. His Wikipedia describes his achievements quite explicitly, so that is my approved source.

The-Dream, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. He is known for co-writing chart topping hits such as “Baby” for Justin Bieber, “Umbrella” for Rihanna, “Me Against the Music” for Britney Spears and “Single Ladies” for Beyoncé. In addition to working with Nivea and Rihanna, The-Dream has also penned songs like J. Holiday’s “Bed”, Usher’s “Moving Mountains”, Yung Joc’s “Coffee Shop” and Jesse McCartney’s “Leavin'”. He also co-wrote Mariah Carey’s “Touch My Body”, Ciara’s “High Price”, and co-wrote a majority of Mary J. Blige’s 2007 Growing Pains album. He featured in Drake’s album Thank Me Later in the song “Shut It Down”. He is signed to Def Jam records. Other artistes of repute he has worked with include Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Brandy, P-diddy, Ciara, Shakira, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez. He by the way has has two ex wives who are both singers, Nivea and Christina Millian.

Given, you can’t copyright an idea, only its expression, and plagiarism is a ‘heavy’ accusation to throw around. Jemedari was previously an online reputation manager for Martha Karua, but currently in Media Max which owns K24. 

The Dream’s album drops tomorrow 28th May. It will feature among others music’s royalty Beyonce and Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Big Sean as well as Fabulous!
