East Africa’s Richest Artist Nominated for Africa’s Prestigious Awards

East African heavy weight and the richest musician in the region, Jose Chameleone a.k.a. came000000 has been nominated for the prestigious African Entertainment Awards.

Red Pepper reports that the Leone Island boss has been nominated under the category of International Best Male artist.

The Badilisha singer will tussle it out with, Iyanya, Ice Prince, Sarkodie, Wizkid and Davido. The Majid Micheal and Tracy Obonna hosted show will take place on August 31 at the Living Art Centre Theatre in Mississauga.

Official winners will be announced during the evening of the African Entertainment Awards show. Winners will be presented with the prestigious A.E. AWARDS 18 karat golden statute as recognition of their contribution within the African entertainment

There will be a panel of judges on the showand they are; Micheal Stohr ,who is the President of  Music Africa (Afro-Fest), Ammar Kamara ,President and Founder CCACN Sports Organization, Julz ,Founder Ghanamixtapes,A & R Konvict Music Africa, Nadine McNulty, Artistic Director at Batuki Music Society, Zainab Godwin, Program Coordinator at Afrihilli Cultural Organization, Blessing Irabo, CEO/Founder Bless Entertainment Media Group and Qing Que, President/CEO Qryptonik Records.

The awards show is aimed at showcasing the rich culture of African art and entertainment. This event celebrates cutting edge developments and forward thinkers shaping the future of African entertainment industry, thereby honouring innovations, and entrepreneurship.
