History Made As Lovy Longomba Produces Hit Track for T.I.
Dreams become reality on “Change Your Life,” the new single off Iggy Azalea’s upcoming debut The New Classic. The Aussie rap sensation partners with her Hustle Gang mentor T.I. on the aspirational tune.
However, what concerns us most is that the hit was produced by one-third of Kenyan multi – award winning Afro/pop group, the Longombas trio, Lovy Longomba.
Thanks to Lovy, “Change Your Life” which features mentor, T.I., is poised to be a big record for Iggy Azalea.
Lovy together with his brothers entered the Kenyan music scene in 2001 with their song “Dondosa”, which became a National hit. Follow-up singles were “Piga Makofi”, “Shika More” “Vuta Pumz”, and “Chukua”. Their debut album, Chukua, was released in 2005 and became an International hit selling a substantial amount digitally and physically.
They performed at the 2006 Channel O Music Video Awards in South Africa following their award winning sweep at the Kisima Music Awards. The group later relocated from Kenya to Los Angeles and released the song Queen, which has taken over African and European airwaves.
