Kenya’s Most Talented & Performing Artist Faults Standard Group over Kidero – Shebesh Saga Story
Wednesday in their weekly issue of the Eve Woman’s World, the Standard Group published a story in which it sought to counsel Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero, on how to win back women after the infamous ‘Gubernatorial Slap’.
The article’s tone was feminist and strongly castigated Dr. Kidero for the incident and gave his side of the story zero chance. Anyhow, Kenya’s most authentic, talented and hottest performing musician, Makadem the OhanglaMan, has come to defend the Governor and told off Standard Media for taking sides.
Here’s his opinion;
“How come sonko vis shebesh did not carry an equal weight on gender violence as kidero vis shebesh yet in the former shebesh was not just slapped she was beaten real bad and her nude sexual fotos exposed.
Is judgement on VAW (Violence Against Women) selective and if yes well, why?
Someone tell me what’s going on.”
Makadem’s command on stage, charisma and powerful vocal delivery, spiced with satire has made many describe him as Kenya’s own Fela Kuti. He has successfully fused different genres of music from Kenya, Africa and the world with his native Luo Benga music.
