Kenyan Hip Hop Legend Dilapidated: Wasting Away on Drugs (PHOTOS)

Recently, hip hop head Sokoro or Sokoro Mombasani MC was photographed, seated outside of what seems like his home, and the pictures revealed his far-reaching weight loss, believed to be caused by his alleged drug addiction.

Sokoro lost his direction and became a drug addict who is now living in the streets and slowly fading out of showbiz. The drugs have deprived him of a healthy life and is currently very ill.

Back in the day, Sokoro was one of the few Mombasa Mcs who had swag. He actually brought swag to Mombasa. He was dubbed as the Mombasa bad boy in music industry and the diss master before  he went off the industry due to drugs.

He burst into the limelight with his ‘Mombasani’ track, a diss track to Nairobi-based artists. His songs were easily likeable as fans also loved his song  ‘Sokoro’ which was a self-praise.

Sokoro was signed to Tabasamu Records which boasts of top Coast artistes like Prince Adio,Cannibal, Pharouh, Skani Flani, King sting and Bedbug, Sharama among others.

Mombasa artistes have now joined hands and decided to rescue the young talent from completely wasting away. Led by Gates Mgenge (Pwani Fm) and Johnny Skani (V-Class/Bully Camp) ,they are now calling out for help from fans, well wishers and friends to bring him back.
