Exclusive: Jaguar Clears Jimwat’s Hospital Bill

James Wathigo better known as Jimwat has been out of showbiz and his music spiraling down at an alarming rate thanks to drug addiction problem making his life and career is reminiscent of Kurt Cobain’s.

A couple of weeks back, Jimwat was involved in a road carnage that left one of his leg and hand badly fractured. The ‘Sitoi Kitu Kidogo’ singer was bed-ridden due to the magnitude of the injuries he sustained.

Late last week, the singer’s mother called upon fellow artistes and fans to assist raise medical funds to foot the rising hospital bill. As fate would have it, award-winning musician and flourishing businessman, Jaguar, came to the rescue of Jimwat.

The “Kipepeo” singer last evening visited Jimwat at Kikuyu Hospital and cleared all the outstanding medical bill and also promised to foot further medical bills of the ailing artist. Jaguar gave a total of KSh180,000; KSh90,000 for the first phase of corrective surgery and the other KSh90,000 for the subsequent surgery on his legs.

Jimwat underwent surgery on Tuesday night at the Kikuyu Orthopedic hospital Kikuyu Orthopedic hospital and was undergoing medical checkup before treatment starts today.

Jaguar’s intervention comes after Jimwat’s friends deserted him even after pledging to offer their help only to pull a Houdini. With the help received from Jaguar, Jimwat is expected back on his feet very soon.
