Kantai Set For A Comeback Performance

Alot has been said about Kantai. From stories swirling about of how he is a despondent alcoholic and how he fell off and will never get back into A-List celebrity stardom. And he is out to silence the critics. His management team just sent word to Uncle Chim Tuna to inform me that Kantai is planning a huge comeback.

Check out the press release below:

One of Kenya’s most lethal lyricists Chris Kantai, popularly known as ‘Kantadda’ will also be making a
come back when he performs at Soul To Soul. This will be his first time on stage in three years. “ I
haven’t lost an inch of my lyrical prowess, I am still as lethal as I was , I will be proving critics wrong”
says Kantai.

Kantai has been missing in action in what he terms as a recess to be with his son. He will be performing
some of his famous songs as well as his new releases, “Almighty” which was composed for his son. Other
artists slated to perform include conscious hip hop rappers Washamba Wenza.
Other prominent poets in Kenya will also be performing alongside Sitawa Wafula and Kantai.
The event will be hosted by Hip hop head and member of Wakamba Wawili , Labalaa who will also
perform. According to the coordinator, Edward Amaya, “all artists who perform any conscious form of
art apart from rapping, poetry and spoken word will also be given a chance to perform”.
The FREE ENTRY event will be held on Saturday 9th November from 11am to 6pm at the Bahai Centre
located next to Kengeles Nyayo Stadium.
