Big Kev Undergoes Yet another Brain Surgery; Keep Him in Your Prayers

In 2010, the entertainment industry was shaken when leading showbiz stakeholder, Kevin Ombajo, better known as Big Kev, was diagnosed with brain tumour. Big Kev went under the knife to extract it locally but 13 months down the line, following a series of migraines, he discovered the tumour had reappeared and so he left for India for a cyber-knife radio surgery. 

All has been well since then until most recently in August when he was diagnosed with another tumour again and he was set to return to India for yet another operation. Big Kev left for India last week and was scheduled to undergo the 5-hour surgery on Tuesday morning.

Speaking to his friends before going to the theatre, Big Kev said,

“It’s finally On! Kesho we do this from 8am to 1pm……….my Prayer Warriors I humbly request that you to stand in the gap for my family and I…….as many of my peoples as humanly possible. …….it is well. …Amen”

In his last post on Facebook, he remained upbeat and declared triumph;

“…i count my blessings and give thanks and so should you……I do this so that my testimony may strengthen the hands of others who need strength and encouragement. ……..im a believer and God done smiled on me….lets do our part in making Kenya and the world a better place! C u soon:)”

Big Kev is one of the contemporary Gospel music pioneers and a former Gospel rapper alongside Limit X and Pastor Pete Odera. He is a young entrepreneur who owns one of the leading events organising firms in Kenya, Tru Blaq Entertainment.
