GHAFLA EXCLUSIVE: Easy FM Set To Close Down. Find Out What That’s About

Ladies and gentlemen, Easy FM is set to go off air. This is the Nation Media Group’s top brass attempting to rethink the brand and reinvent themselves. Anytime this week, Easy FM will cease to exist as we know it.

The radio station famed for playing soothing RnB melodies will go off air this February to facilitate a restructuring and a new station will rise in it’s wake. This strategy is actually the brain child of the new radio boss who was formerly with Ogilvy who has embarked on the bold move.

Easy FM or whatever it will be called when it gets reborn will be an info-tainment station; gone are the days when they played soppy “feelings” music, they are about to remodel themselves so they can educate on issues affecting Kenyans and the world as they entertain.

This change sadly means that they will be looking to lose some of the presenters considered dead weight and they will be looking for some new voices.
So do not expect a game of musical chairs, they will be giving new voices an opportunity which I honestly thing is a refreshing break from the game of swapping saliva that media stations have engaged in before (geddit?)

My source assures me that while this change might seem drastic, she has complete faith in the new management engaged to run Easy FM. Apparently, the man behind all the power moves knows what he is doing so there should be no cause for alarm. But keep it Ghafla for more as the situation plays out.
