Kenyan Gospel Singers Forsake Kiswahili To Start Singing In Igbo

I have always said that Kenyans are not entertainers. I am being proved right by every artist who elects to turn to West Africa for lessons on how proper entertainment is done. And for that, they chose the most beautiful language in Africa -second only to Luhya. And that language ladies and gentlemen is Igbo.

 

And that is precisely the language used to even name the track which uses a style of instrumentals associated with Naija music. That said, kudos to the prioducer who created the fast paced Naija instrumentals and kudos to both VKP and Saint P for making this hit track because trust me when I say that the track is a sure shot winner!

 

The trackk is called “Imela” and that is Igbo for “thank you”. So from that you can already tell that this track is in gratitude to God for his mercies. The subject matter also holds as they wonder why they kept finnicking for something more exciting yet God already had their backs. Check the track out below:
