Blankets And Wine C.E.O Muthoni Ndong’a Disses Her Blankets Clients Alluding To Them Being Pretentious (AUDIO)

Muthoni Ndong’a is a jack of many trades. She is a rapper, a singer but first and foremost, she is an enterprenuer and the C.E.o of one of the most popular and successful events companies around. She or rather her company, runs Blankets and Wines, the leading society event in Kenya. It is usually held once a month, at the beginning of every month on the first Sunday and usually attracts a large crowd of Kenya’s middle and upper echelons of society along with a huge number of YoloSwaggers.

But what shocks me is that she actually took shots at the very same individualls who have made Blankets and Wine a roaring success, calling them out for being pretentious. Incase you do not know what that means, let me elaborate shortly.

The synonyms to the word include:

  • ostentatious
  • overblown
  • pompous
  • aureate
  • bombastic
  • grandiloquent

Basically, these words are a fancy way of saying that the audience who come through for her event each and every month are either “stuck up” or “posers“. She took this shot at her audience on one of her songs in which she raps, “…but please kumbuka Nai, mkwanja ndio performance/ Nai ni ya *couldn’t make out what she said here*/ Ndio tumeja kwa Facebook/ Wasee kuplant ma picha na macaption kama storybook/ Ati vile wanachill na ma celebs huko Blankets but in reality maisha yao different planet!

While we laughed about the absurdity of insulting ones clientele, I couldn’t help but wonder whether kenyans will even care. Anyway, check out the song in which the jibe is made with an emphasis on the 1:35-1:50.

All that said though, this is an awesome track!
