Feted Producer Weighs in on Kalonzo’s Ethnical Slur
Yesterday, former Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka was put on the spot over an ethnic slur who had asked him a question at the CORD press conference. 24 hours later, the incident is still eliciting sharp mixed reactions.
Among those who have added their voice on the raging debate is renowned music producer, Tedd Josiah. He is credited for producing compilation albums called Kenyan, The First Chapter and Kenyan, The Second Chapter, two albums that featured Kenya’s legendary artistes; Hardstone, Kalamashaka, Gidi Gidi Maji Maji, Necessary Noize, In-Tu, Pete Odera, Ndarling P among others.
Tedd asserts, “I’ve never been one to defend tribalism. I HATE TRIBAL LINED FOOLS!”
Here’s his statement;
“I’ve never been one to defend tribalism. I HATE TRIBAL LINED FOOLS!
But before we throw stones at others let’s look at our own irrational behaviour.
– are things more believable because they came from a guy from your tribe?
– did u vote for a guy from ur tribe?
– are u ready to let ur kids marry the guy from the other tribe?
– do u consider other people less Kenyan than the people from ur tribe?
Tribalism is not just about Kalonzo, it’s a sickening saddening disease Kenyans have embraced in secret then we pretend we are one………….
Hate only begets more hate.
Let’s remember to open our eyes to the flaws we may have within before we throw big stones.
Heal the wound of tribalism by making Kenya a state were all people matter, people get work based on their aptitude not relations & tribal affiliations.
This “loose” comment is an eye opener to the hate that is festering in this nation……..”
Kalonzo has since apologized over the unfortunate remarks. Despite his apology, the topics #SomeoneTellKalonzoMusyoka, #LastName and #EthnicityInKenya are currently still trending on Twitter.
