These 5 Kenyan Songs Should Never Ever Be Played at Any Wedding

When MOG released their song, ‘My Wedding Day’ almost every wedding that came after it had the song in its playlist because the jam simply helps set a mood and style for the proceedings.

However, while the bride and her groom want to dance themselves to exhaustion on their wedding day, there some Kenyan songs that should be in their playlist (not that we hate them, no, they’re just not appropriate for the occasion).

These 5 songs are inappropriate. And none of them should be played at your wedding. Hopefully, your DJ or band is savvy enough to avoid them. Take a look;

1. Chips Funga – Anto NeoSoul

He/ she will definitely leave you for the obvious reason; you’re just a chips funga.

2. Niko Over My Ex – Mejja

There’s a subliminal message in this song. Listen carefully.

3. Kigeugeu – Jaguar

4. Ino Ni Momo – Murimi wa Kahalf

There’s a line that translates to, “You can’t make love to her because just like a trailer which has a bottomless fuel tank, you’ll have a hard time satisfying her.

And finally;

5. Tudinyane – Circuite

Play this song before your in-laws at your own peril.
