‘Yello Yello’ Gospel Singer Reveals the Tribulations of Being a #TeamLightSkin

The entire weekend, the bleaching/ skin-whitening debate has been forced down our throats thanks to one Vera Sidika who admitted/ revealed on national TV that she bleached, sorry, whitened her skin for a whooping Ksh50 million!

Well, the debate set tongues wagging the whole weekend with most opinion-formers taking a swipe at her.

Gospel singer, Sarah Fana Hagos, added her voice on the debate wondering out loudly how she wished people would know the tribulations of being a #TeamLightSkin. “I wish somebody understands the benefits of having a darker skin,” Sarah chimes in on the debate.

Sharing her sentiments on Facebook, she said;

“So I have just been told, to get my skin color coasts 50M ksh!!??I wish somebody understands the benefits of having a darker skin.I remember when I was shooting my video Elshaddai,for 8hrs under the hot sun of utawala,my skin was burnt totaly until i was looking so dark and I couldnt stand on the sun shine or even cooking was hard.latter I had to see the dermatologist and was given medecine which pilled of my burnt skin.it took 2month for my skin to heal.thats why I couldnt shoot my 2nd video on the sun.”
