Behind the fame and success, Ugandan veteran singer Jose Chameleone has his own inspiration and someone who he thinks is the best artiste the world has ever seen.
Despite having his musical roots germinating in Kenya and having close friends in the 254 who are also artistes, Chameleone has overlooked his friends for American Pop King the late Michael Jackson.
In an exclusive interview with Ghafla Kenya, Chameleone admits that there is no African artiste he can copy from.
Who is that African artiste you look up to musically?
“Honestly, nobody, nobody! There is no African artistes who has reached that level I can look up to”, Chameleone says.
He says that he respects Nigeria’s Dbanj but not on music grounds.
“Maybe Dbanj but as a businessman. I respect him very much because he is a smart business guy”.
Chameleone has lavished praise on the late Michael Jackson, saying that he respects the pop singer because he managed to handle pressure for over 50 years.
