Bahati first made himself known to the public through one of the songs that will go down in history as the most emotional and captivating: Mama.

The singer wowed many with the song, but deep down his heart he knew exactly what he was going through after losing his mother, Lucia Mueni several years back.

Bahati grew up in a children’s home after losing his mother but he dedicated his life and everything to serving God through music. And since his debut, the singer has gone on to release many more hits like Barua and others.

Sunday saw the whole world celebrated women and the efforts they have made to better the world.

Bahati was not left behind either. In an emotional tribute, the singer penned a letter praising his mother and the efforts she made to teach him how to live.

Bahati celebrates his mother regardless of the fact that she is not around to see the steps he has made in life.
