Suzanna Owiyo Meets Africa’s Finest Footballer, Yaya Toure. Find Out Why

It is Thursday and as it is a norm, this is the day many people share their fond memories engraved in photos and other things that remind them of their past. It is a throwback Thursday famously hashtagged as #TBT.

It is therefore this day that Suzanna Owiyo, the local Kenyan singer who garnered world recognition thanks to her unique and catchy style of singing, has shared to the world the day she met Africa’s finest footballer and Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure.

Suzanna vividly remembers this day when Yaya made his way into the country, not because there is a place in Nairobi with the same name as his, but because he had been appointed the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) goodwill ambassador.

The two met at Gigiri, Nairobi, where the United Nations offices are based.

This is the not the first time Suzanna is meeting prominent persons in her career and life. Apart from the Manchester City midfielder, the singer has been spotted hanging with out with renowned American TV show host Oprah Winfrey, South African songbird Yvonne Chakachaka alongside many other celebrities.

Yaya Toure is Africa’s finest footballer after emerging the winner in four consecutive years. He is also an integral part in the Manchester City squad where he has helped them lift the premier league trophy twice.
