Saut Sol Admit Their Crush On A Celebrated Tanzanian Songbird As They Pay Her Tribute

Sauti Sol is the most established and respected singing in East Africa and among the best in Africa. The group of four has taken the continent by surprise ever since it made its way into the limelight.

Sauti Sol today make headlines every time they open their lips to speak, type or sing.

And this explains why when they admitted their admiration for Tanzania’s all-time best singer Rehema Chalamila famously known as Ray C, their admiration made news all over East Africa.

In a Facebook post, Sauti Sol admitted that Ray C is a lady they hold so close to their hearts thanks to her prowess in the music industry and her battle with drug addiction.

Ray C’s career plummeted when she succumbed to addiction and became an addicted drug user, something that had already started taking toll of her and threatened to completely ruin her life.

It was the Tanzanian president, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, who came to the singer’s rescue and enrolled her in a rehabilitation centre where she has recovered and went back to the her music.

This has greatly moved Sauti Sol who have paid tribute to Ray C, celebrating her as a strong woman who has done East Africa justice through music.
