From Sauti Sol’s Savara Mudigi To Jaguar: Check Out How Kenya’s Top Celebrities Look In Their National ID Photos

Getting a national ID in Kenya these days is not as gut-wrenching as it used to be during our days. If you have an ID that looks like an ATM then be sure you know nothing about what people of our age and times went through to acquire theirs.

Chweya remembers vividly the mind-boggling and hair-shaving experiences he went through in the hands of that tall, fat, dark man with scary red eyes in a dusty shopping centre along the cold hills of that fertile region of this republic to get his.

I guess this is the same experiences everyone during that time went through, and this could explain why almost every one of us looks more of an ogre or less the same in their national ID photos.

Mine would scare you for sure if you got a chance to look at it. Whenever I am asked to produce it like when I go to church at AIC Ruaraka where GSU officers will not let you in unless you have your ID, I put my thumb on the photo to avoid scaring the officers.

That is not the point though. Here we sample some of the IDs of top celebrities in the 254 which shows their images when they acquired their national IDs.

Be sure to laugh here. Loud. And don’t just laugh. Be sure to share. They must reach them.

And here we go:
