1. Over the years, the singer has used many aliases besides her official stage name including Badula Ahblungada, Sarah Bellum, Analog Girl, Lo Down Loretta Brown, Manuela Maria Mexico, Fat Belly Bella, Automatic Slim, Annie the El Chemist, She Ill, Apples.

2. Badu has three children, all born to different fathers, all of them music figures: Seven Sirius Benjamin Wright’s father is actor and former Outkast member, Andre 3000. Puma Sabti Curry Wright’s father is, The DOC, a former member of the legendary hip hop group, NWA. Mars Merkaba Flowers Wright’s father is hip hop artiste and producer, Jay Electronica. All three children were born naturally at home with the help of family and a midwife and doula.

3. On February 1, 2009, Badu and Jay Electronica blogged about the birth of their daughter, Mars Merkab Flowers Wright, in real time on the micro-blogging site Twitter, becoming the first celebrity couple to ever live-tweet the birth of a new child.

4. Besides her education at Grambling University for a Theatre Arts Major, she also has certifications for Master Reiki Degree, Doula Certification and Holistic Health Practitioner .

5. Erykah Badu popped her Live album on November 18th, 1997. That same day, she popped her first child, Seven Sirius Benjamin Wright. Her album went straight to number one on the pop album charts and later went two times Platinum.
