Jacob Juma’s family is serious about avenging the brutal death of the slain businessman. And they are using ‘African science’ to make sure Jacob’s killers and planners pay for what they did.
We all know Jacob Juma will be buried with a knife and a torch to avenge his death. But that’s just a tip of the iceberg, more strange rituals will be performed today when he will be buried.
The Nairobian had a chat with Jacob Juma’s elder brother, Gerishon Wesonga, who told them the traditional rituals that will be performed today during the burial of Jacob Juma.
To start with, Wesonga revealed Jacob Juma’s siblings will be compelled to bath separately in a river then slaughter a bull as a sign that they didn’t have anything to do with their brother’s death.
During burial, a special ritual known as “okhusalisia” will be performed inside Jacob Juma’s grave. The ritual is meant to awaken Jacob’s ghost to haunt his killers.
One of Jacob Juma’s brothers or uncles will be lowered in his grave before the coffin is placed inside, he will then utter binding curse that will ensure Jacob’s assassins don’t have peace until they pay for what they did to him.
Once lowered in his grave, Juma will be told to deal with his killers since he alone knows who killed him. He will be psyched up not to allow his killers to have peace until they pay for his brutal murder.
Since the place where Juma was assassinated is contentious, Juma will speak to his family in a dream to tell them where exactly he was killed.
The family will then go there after 40 days to collect his spirit and join it with his body so that it doesn’t wonder around; just like what Kijana Wamalwa’s family did last year when they travelled to London’s Royal Free Hospital to bring back his spirit to his burial place in Kitale.
