2 For the Road: After His Alleged Stint in Rehab, Chris ‘Kantadda’ Kantai Spotted Enjoying ‘Keg’ at a Dingy Pub in Zimmerman (Photos)

In 2005, we came across one of the most lethal lyricists of our time; Chris Kantai popularly known as ‘Kantadda’. He won us over with a few tracks and having good looks certainly didn’t hurt.But before we got used to him, he disappeared unexpectedly.

After going silent for a few years supposedly to take care of his son, Kantadda announced his comeback promising his fans that he won’t disappoint them as he was here to stay. “I haven’t lost an inch of my lyrical prowess, I am still as lethal as I was, I will be proving critics wrong” Kantai promised.

He released ‘Almighty’, a dedication to his son, but his full comeback did not materialize and he soon sank into oblivion.

Various media reports claimed that the reason for his disappearance this time was that he was battling alcoholism but another comeback was in the works that would see a Kantai-STL collaboration.

Kantai was even picked as one of the faces of Wanfam Clothing Company and we knew that his comeback was a sure thing…but wapi? He disappeared and it was alleged that he was in rehab, something which his management and friends deny, accusing the media of defamation.

The OG attempted another comeback in Khaligraph Jones’ Ting’ Badi Malo proving that just like the cat, he had nine lives. Lucky for him Ting Badi Malo was a success,but it was expected since he had created it with one of the best rappers.

It seems that Kantai could be back to his old ways judging from these photos taken of the rapper in Zimmerman
