Post election violence has erupted in Gabon after President Ali Bongo was declared the winner of the recently concluded Gabonese presidential election. Ali Bongo ascended to power in 2009 following the death of his father Omar Bongo who had ruled Gabon for 42 years. Angry protesters in Libreville yesterday torched Gabon’s parliament after Bongo was declared the winner. Gabon post election violence aside, below are the trending stories this morning:
